Chock-full of Haka Dance War Chants, harmonic three-part Maori songs (a merger of Maori traditional tunes and influence from European missionaries.) This collection is a pleasant listen, with the wonderful Polynesian beat and delightful singing and chanting. It's a different sound than Hawaiian or Tahitian, though similar in some respects. Includes 24 different chants and songs, and a good set of liner notes picturing the Kahurangi touring troupe, gathered from schools and other Maori groups in New Zealand. An excellent overview of the Maori musical tradition.
